About Me

Hi, I'm Gonzalo Tirado, a software engineer born in Malaga (Spain) passionate about technology and programming. I consider myself a curious and meticulous person always willing to learn new things.

After completing my studies at the university, I trained for the development of web and mobile applications. After my internship period, I joined the development team where I acquired new skills as a programmer in order to become a valuable member of the development team. In the companies in which I have worked we have developed both our own products and projects for third parties.

After 8 years as a mobile application developer, I decided to try video games development. I studied the Master of Video Games Creation at the University of Malaga and I have been working for a year as a Unity developer in a company creating mobile video games.

Nowadays, I keep improving my skills while developing my own projects as well as I develop different jobs for third parties as a freelance. I listen for employment or collaboration offers, do not hesitate to contact me.

Ghost Racing - Formula E

In Virtually Live I helped to develop Ghost Racing: Formula E. A racing game where you race against real drivers, in real races in real time. In there, the player takes part in the intense and exciting Formula E races on street tracks around the globe! You will not only compete against the actual drivers, but also the whole Ghost Racing community. In this massive multiplayer racing experience, you need to be fast and apply the best tactics in the often unanticipated and surprising circumstances which comes with real world racing.

My role in this project was tools programmer and I also occasionally worked as a gameplay programmer. I have a lot of fun during the time I was working with my team mates while I learned so much cool stuff from them. The board games meetings were terrific moments too.

Game Jams and personal games

During my Master's degree period I developed several games, you can check it out in my itch.io website. Consider these projects are part of my formation time.

There are also collaboration games with other awesome people, personal projects and jam games. In itch.io there are a lot of cool games made by indie developers too, if you don't know this game store you should consider to visit it.

PFC Sense - Temperature Tracking

This is the final year project of my engineering studies. The objective of the project was to develop a real-time wireless temperature tracking solution using devices that could be found in the market.

After a exhaustive search, I found the most convenient type of wireless thermograph for this project. To retrieve and track the information I used a smartphone as a sensors' monitor. In addition, for remote temperature tracking, I used a backend and a dashboard as a service. The proposed solution didn't involved a high cost of implementation, maintenance or replacement.

Transmobile

Transmobile is a GPS tracking application that works with Android mobiles, so it isn't necessary more than the company's mobiles to have GPS tracking for all employees (commercial, operators, technicians, drivers, etc.). The solution also includes a web app to monitor and see custom reports about your tracked devices.

We started to develop this project in my early days as a developer and I have so many feelings with this product because it evolved as I evolved professionally with it. I am also very grateful for the days I spent with my team mates around this product and other awesome projects we were involved during the years we shared in Movion.
